Solving technical problems, maintaining internal and external websites and helping colleagues are the tasks of our IT software engineer Moritz Nebel. Get exclusive insights into his professional life here.
Heyho, my name is Moritz Nebel, I am 31 years old and have been working at Rutronik's Ratingen location since 2019 as a software developer.
My area mainly concerns the programming and maintenance of the company's internal and external websites, i.e. online shop, company website, career website and intranet.
I mostly work at the Ratingen location. Every few months I come down to the headquarters for a week, as many of my team members also work here.
I can't limit this to a single project. The 'Lisa Test' project had a strong impact during the pandemic wedding. We set up a website there in record time on which, among other things, visitors could book appointments for a rapid corona test at a variety of locations.
We recently converted our online shop to a new, modern layout. Our online shop now appears in a contemporary format and promises a pleasant online feeling on all devices, i.e. mobile phones, tablets and desktops.
Personally, I already see myself as an IT superhero who optimizes the loading times of a page to a lightning-fast level.
For my job you definitely have to work purposefully to find a solution to every problem.
You should also plan and process your projects in a well-structured manner.
In problem situations you should always remain calm and approach things carefully.
I particularly like the friendly work colleagues with whom you can always have fun and have a nice chat.
It never gets boring with the variety of projects. There is always something to do and every day is definitely not the same.
Thanks to the flextime working hours, you can also plan your day very flexibly, which suits me personally.
