Application process and candidate management system

Why can I only submit online applications using the system?

With our system we offer you professional candidate management. Your application is processed quickly and reliably. This saves you sending your application portfolio by post, which is time-consuming and expensive. It takes five to ten minutes at the most to fill in the application. We still guarantee you that your data is processed in accordance with ISO 27001 (Information Security).

How can I update my documents once I’ve submitted my application?

The documents can only be added to by asking the HD Department. You are welcome to contact the recruiting team if you have any requests to change or update a document.

In which file format and file size can attachments be sent?

You can attach your documents in the following file formats:
pdf, doc, xls, ppt, pps, rtf, txt, odt, ods, odp, jpg, gif, png or bmp files with a total size of 10 MB maximum. You are welcome to send us your documents compiled together in one file.

What happens if I can’t remember my login details?

We will be happy to send you new login details by email through our system.

Can I withdraw my application, if I have changed my mind in the meantime?

You have the option of withdrawing your application at any time in our candidate management system. You will then receive an email confirmation from us.

Are there application deadlines? Are all the jobs advertised online actually still vacant?

No, there are not any deadlines.
Our job vacancies are updated regularly. All job adverts on our job vacancy portal are therefore still vacant.

Are there set start dates for each position?

No, we arrange these according to when the candidate best suited to us is available.

Is it possible to apply for several positions at the same time and can I also apply for other positions once I’ve been rejected?

You can apply for several positions that are suitable for you using our system. A rejection applies exclusively to that position and not to any other positions you have applied for.

Can I submit an unsolicited application and if so, what happens to my application then?

Of course. Please let us know which professional foci you are interested in and the specific areas where you see a future for yourself. We can then compare your data with our vacancies and search for opportunities for you at Rutronik. Suitable applications are passed onto the relevant departments.

How long does it take to process my application?

We aim for you to receive initial feedback on your application within 7-10 days.

Apprenticeships, dual study programs, internships and work placements

Which school qualifications are required for an apprenticeship or dual study program?

Dual study program: A-Level, advanced technical college entrance qualification (with university entrance examination)

General requirements for apprenticeships: Secondary school leaving certificate, advanced technical college entrance qualification, A-Level

Warehouse specialist and/or specialist for warehouse logistics: Secondary school completion certificate.

How long before the start of the apprenticeship or study course should I apply?

The earlier the better: up to one year before the apprenticeship or study course starts.

For which study courses / apprentices are positions offered?

We offer apprenticeships and dual study programs in a wide variety of technical, business-related, and industrial fields. You can find our current listings here.

Please select either Apprenticeship or Dual Study from the “Type of Position” menu.

Can I write my degree thesis at Rutronik?

Degree theses (Bachelor or Master’s theses) can be written at Rutronik. We look forward to hearing your suggested topic and will then check whether we’re a good fit.
To do so, please select Final Project from the Type of Position menu on our job portal.

How long does an internship last and is there a set minimum time?

We offer internships lasting six weeks to six months at Rutronik.

Is there the option of completing an international internship?

Internships abroad are possible in principle. Providing there are job opportunities at that time. Working abroad also involves a two to four-week induction period at the headquarters in Ispringen. It is then possible to work at one of our branches abroad in Europe.

How long can I work as a student on placement and how many hours per week?

The working hours are 20 hours per week during the semester. Working hours can be increased to 40 hours at the most during periods when there are no lectures. The contracts are temporary per semester.

Which documents do I have to submit?

Apprenticeship and dual study: Cover letter, resume, report cards, certificates, internship certificates

Student on placement/intern: Cover letter, resume, report card, current overview of grades, certificate of university enrollment, certificates, internship certificates.
