PassiveComponents

Passive components are required in all electronic applications. The functions always run the same and – by contrast with semiconductors (active components) – cannot be controlled.

The following products are examples from this segment.

Electric Double Layer Capacitor

Electric double layer capacitors are components, or more precisely capacitors, with an extremely high capacity. They are therefore often compared to batteries or accumulators. Electric double layer capacitors are capable of charging and discharging quickly. Electric double layer capacitors are installed, for example, in hybrid buses.

Transformers

Transformers transfer an alternating current’s electrical energy from a primary circuit to a secondary circuit. The values for the voltage and currents can be changed in this transfer. Transformers work on the principle of electromagnetic induction.
